as we share our take on what we can expect during the next 14 years as Neptune, the planet of dreams, spirituality and the subconscious makes its way through Aries, the warrior of the Zodiac.

The purpose of today’s episode is to help you understand what Neptune in Aries will offer us collectively so that you can use the energy of the planets instead of, as Steven Forrest puts it, "be marionettes with the planets having us by the strings”. Neptune in Aries is a spiritual path forward that will be open to everyone, but we have to volunteer to take it. We have to act.

Neptune was in Aries the first time Lewis Carroll told the story of Alice & Wonderland. Neptune was also in Aries during the American Civil War. I believe that as spiritual entrepreneurs, we have a responsibility to co-create a reality aligned with Neptune’s higher purpose instead of allowing ourselves to get sucked into the fear that will be brought on by the lower possibility of this transit.

On a personal level, the house Neptune is transiting through in your natal chart shows where you will experience increased creative flow and inspiration and the dissolution of old structures, but also confusion and uncertainty. Neptune in Aries for Business

First, a little bit of Neptune 101.

Neptune is a slow-moving planet, taking approximately 164 years to make its way through the Zodiac, so the lessons we learn from its transits unfold slowly over the course of ~14 years. For context, the last time Neptune moved signs was in 2012.

In astrology, Neptune represents dreams, spirituality, and the collective unconscious. The curious thing is that everyone seems to have their own take on Neptune, which is quite aligned with the illusive energy of the planet. It doesn’t want to be defined, as it works in the unseen world of our subconscious minds. It’s the planet that urges us to seek meaning beyond our physical experience. To discern between what is real and what is false in terms of both our perceived reality and the things that we value. It can distort or unveil the truth, which in turn influences how we see the world around us and how we choose to engage with it.

You can think of Neptune as the agent of the Pisces need for transcendence, oneness, altruism, surrender, non-attachment, and connection with the Divine. It gives us the ability to dream and flow in harmony with the universe but can also dissolve us into chaos. Neptune tells us to “Let go and let God” while dangling the carrot of escapism when reality starts to feel like too much.

I know that sounds confusing, but it’s quite fitting for the planet with a reputation of causing confusion. I love how astrology can be so fucking literal.

From a business perspective Neptune is even more elusive because it works on our subconscious, while business is something that is very material. It’s not a planet I usually include in business readings unless it’s influencing another major point, but I also don’t want to neglect that this new age of business is becoming more and more “spiritual”, and so we may see it begin to play a bigger role. I think we can distill it down to the dream we have for ourselves and the future we want to be a part of. It is the vision—the vision that’s bigger than us, bigger than our business, that helps us uncover our part in the great unfolding of our collective experience.

The Neptune in Aries Call

I think there are two ways we will be called to move during the next 14 years. In my original draft of this post, I went into the “positive” and “negative” possibilities of this transit, but I believe so strongly in our ability to shape our reality that I couldn’t justify planting seeds of negativity. There’s already plenty of that going around, so you don’t need more from me. I want to focus on the opportunities it will bring.

We are all at the end of a Hero’s Journey right now, bringing wisdom back home in preparation for the next adventure.

I believe the first call will be for those who have had the dream to start a business but have been stuck in the fear and subconscious beliefs about what they’re capable of. I think Neptune in Aries will be a “wake up” call of sorts, not just a spiritual awakening, but a jolt of inspiration and courage to take the leap and fight for the life you want. Alice Kinglsey in Tim Burton’s 2010 Alice in Wonderland film is a perfect embodiment of the Neptune in Aries archetype. Brave, bold, pioneering, and willing to stand up for her beliefs and fight the Jabberwocky in order to save the residents of Wonderland. Whether Wonderland was a physical place or a figment of her imagination, it didn’t matter. To her, it was real. And she was willing to put her life on the line to save it.

This movie was an inspiration for me when I chose to leave my job and play in the experience of full-time self employment, and I have a feeling that Neptune in Aries will help many others discover their Wonderland and devote themselves to making it real.

The second call will be for us to hold the space and the frequency to help those who are moving through their spiritual awakening. Not force them into a spiritual awakening, there’s no “waking people up”—but being there, ready to guide them in those scary early stages where you’re questioning everything about who you are, what your life is, and seeing truth that you may have been blind to before.

Awakening is not pretty, it is jarring, and there is going to be more and more of a demand for people who can hold space for it and serve as a guide for the collective.

I’m not talking about becoming a “guru” or “spiritual guide” in a literal sense—but finding ways in your everyday life to be a counterbalance to the fear that’s spreading around you. To champion connection, compassion, and trust in the bigger picture that is unfolding. It may require you to insert yourself back into spaces where people aren’t as spiritually evolved and show them the way not by pushing your beliefs onto them, but by modeling behavior that will inspire higher levels of consciousness in those around you. The importance won’t be what you do, but how you do it.

Specifically, how you lead.

Whether you’re a corporate CEO leading a board meeting or a shaman leading a retreat in the jungle, Neptune in Aries will empower you to evoke spiritual evolution through leadership, as long as we align our intentions with that vision.

While Neptune was in Pisces, we spent time behind closed doors searching for the meaning behind our purpose here in this lifetime. We expanded our imaginations, learned to listen to our intuition and trust in our unwavering connection with All That Is. Neptune in Pisces taught us how it feels to live in alignment and how to tell when we’ve lost our way. It prepared us for the mission that now lies ahead of us.

We have been feeling the ramp up, and I believe this is the moment we’ve been subconsciously waiting for. The moment where we allow the world to see us as bold visionaries unafraid to stand up for what we believe in. The moment we realize that this is our dream, and that we get to decide where it goes from here.

The moment to act. The moment to make our own path.
