Diving into the archetype of the Creator

I’ll admit, since starting this Substack I’ve lost sight of why I do this. I’ve been so swooped up in providing forecasts and horoscopes when really, my passion lies in helping you understand your natal chart on a deep, soul level.

I believe that when you’re living and working in alignment with who you really are, you don’t need to pay as much attention to every little detail of the transits. You’ll be able to feel it and just move. Or rest. Or whatever your intuition is telling you.

My objective here is to help you align with your natal blueprint, not have you obsessing too much on what’s going on cosmically and trying to align every business activity with the planets. Sure, it can help and many astrologers put there focus there, but it’s not me.

I’ve learned that ability is not obligation. Meaning - just because I can do something, doesn’t mean I have to if it doesn’t feel good.

I like to flow (if you’re new here, I’m a Cancer/Pisces/Cancer) - and getting caught up in what I “should” or “shouldn’t” be doing on a certain day based on what sign the Moon is in or what planet Mars is making aspects with (for example) keeps me in my head and takes me out of my flow.

What brings me back, though, is a deep understanding of who I am, how I operate, and what I’m here for. So that’s what I’d like to start offering you.

Moving forward, I’m going back to my roots to provide you with the tools and insights to de-code your natal chart in a way that is applicable to your business.

Don’t worry - I’ll still be publishing monthly forecasts, but with fewer deep-dives unless I’m guided to do so.

That being said, I’m testing out a new approach for Leo season - instead of writing horoscopes for your sign (honestly you can find them anywhere), I’ll be leading you on a deep dive exploration of Leo. No matter what your sun sign is, Leo plays a role somewhere in your chart so for the next 4 weeks, we’re going to be celebrating all things Leo to help you embrace this part of yourself for happiness and success.

Let’s start with the basics

Leo is a fixed fire sign, ruled by the sun and is all about illumination and self expression. Those who have a strong Leo influence often radiate confidence and charisma and find themselves at the center of attention. Fire signs bring energetic enthusiasm and fixed signs bring determination, so blend those together and you have a natural leader and force to be reckoned with.

Leos, do you feel seen, yet?

Just like every sign, Leo has a positive and negative expression. On a good day, Leo is confident, loyal, generous, affectionate, entertaining and full of - dare I say - flair. However on a bad day, which we all have, Leo can be egotistical, selfish, stubborn and overly concerned with their appearance. The key to working with this energy is to balance the drive for recognition with genuine humility and appreciation for others. The superpower of a Leo is their ability to shine their light on others and inspire them become the best versions of themselves.

Leo is ruled by the sun, which represents our ego and drive - so no matter where the sun is in your chart, Leo plays a role in how you define yourself and your place in the world. Whether it’s through a career, hobby, family or a moment of fame, everyone of us has an ego that needs to be acknowledged. Some just may need more than others.

The house where Leo falls in your natal chart reveals where your creativity shines brightest and where you seek to stand out from the crowd. This is the area of life where you have a strong “ego investment” and where your passion can drive you to success.

Here’s a brief overview of Leo through the houses, which we’ll dive into more in a later post. This is your area of focus for Leo season - because when the sun is in Leo, it’s “lighting up” this area of your life.

To find Leo in your chart, run your free chart in www.astro-charts.com and look for the house that begins in Leo. There will be a dotted line indicating the beginning of the house (house cusp).

For example: In the chart below, Leo rules the 9th house.

Leo in Business

If you have your Sun is in Leo, you need a career or business where you can be fully recognized and appreciated for what you do. We all need that to a certain extent - but you really need it. Don’t dull that light, you’re here to shine brightly the way that you were born to.

Here are some recommendations to align your work with the gifts of a Leo sun:

1. Take on roles that allow you to lead and inspire others - coaching, mentoring, speaking, sales, etc.

2. Find work that allows you to channel your artistic or creative talents

3. Get on a stage where you will be recognized - think teaching, music, writing, entertainment, sales or anything that allows you to “perform” in some way. The house your sun is in will give you more clues

4. Use your natural warmth and generosity to build strong, supportive networks. You’ll gain the praise you need through building genuine relationships and sharing your light.
